Tanning: my family vacation back in 2012 were my biggest wake up call. Especially this where I was in my swimsuit tanning🙈. I gained tons of weight during my late teenage years. I guess due to depression from moving away from the country I grew up in. I found comfort in food, became lethargic and really shy. From then on, I tried losing weight a few times which made my weight fluctuate up and down. I had my child in 2007 and I got even more bigger. I realized in 2012 during that summer that I can't live my life just dreaming and watching people live their life to the fullest. I can't sit around and not be active with my little one. And I can't risk having health issues. I wanted more out of life. I wanted to feel alive for my child and I want to set a good example for her. That's my back story Since then I lost 100 lbs and kept it off. Right now I'm 15 lbs above my usual stage weight and that's okay because competing isn't in my plans at the moment. I have good and bad days just like everyone else. What matters is that even if I feel like I'm failing at some point, I keep going and I try my best everyday. My goal right now is to be stronger and build the best body I could achieve in the healthiest way possible without going to extremes. A fitness journey doesn't have a finish line. You're also never too old to start Before I get asked again. I didn't have any type or surgery to lose weight and I didn't have any type of skin surgery either. Just work hard and learn your own body @ceceven .

Tanning: When she is told Her skin is too dark I do not hesitate to offer, That the sun loved her so much It kissed her more Than the rest of us. Black is Beautiful. Bleaching cream disgusts me. The ideology that created it disgusts me. I didn't see any Europeans in DR Congo. (Not saying there aren't any) I have only seen beautiful dark skinned Africans. But I have seen bleaching products everywhere owned by European companies. In Europe I see tanning cream everywhere... They want Africans whiter and they want to be darker? I am confused? Like if you think all African countries should ban Bleaching products. No they aren't beneficial to the countries, most major European cooperations don't pay tax to Africa. Also the mindset was developed with colonial rhetoric, rape & control. The church & "missionaries" told us whiteness is next to godliness. Now the media tells us that whiteness is pure & beauty's definition. Just look at every damn magazine. Even the major shopping centres are owned by European immigrants (they call themselves expats, I don't) guess what whole rows of bleaching products, beauty magazines with white people on & in or sisters with blonde hair, light skin, bleached skin or white foundation, then they retouch them to make them whiter. What is wrong with these people? Just give it a rest. I heard all of this the lighter you are the less likely that you work outside & the whole classism thing. That is disrespect. How about we just start petitions to get all of these bleaching products banned globally. It's Bleach... Bleach Fam, you go crazy if it gets on your clothes. If you drank it you would die. It's bleach. It is destroying organs. Your liver can't clean your blood of it, it causes cancer. You destroy your melanin. Just stop it. Dark skinned sisters you are so beautiful. Never bleach your hair or skin. You were born beautiful. Never change that because of psychopathic unrealistic, unhealthy standards of beauty dictated by mentally ill middle aged men, who want to make money out of you. I love you and all real brothers and sisters of all colours do too. So forget this bleaching! chakabars
