Martin, Martin Luther King Jr., and Memes: Martin Luther King Jr. Statue Will Join Confederate Statues At Georgia's State Capital @balleralert Martin Luther King Jr. Statue Will Join Confederate Statues At Georgia's State Capital- blogged by @niksofly ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Georgia's Capitol have a plethora of its confederate soldier statues across its grounds. Confederate general and Ku Klux Klan leader John Brown Gordon and U.S. Sen. Richard Russell, an opponent to the civil rights legislation King wanted, sit as reminders to Georgia's oppressive and racist past (and possible present). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ MartinLutherKingJr. will have a statue in his honor that will sit alongside the very regime he advocated against. Member of Georgia Legislative Black Caucus Representative Calvin Myre stated, "The King statue will inspire and give hope to generations to come." ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The unveiling was set before the Charlottesville terrorism, but had since been rescheduled due to the recent moves across states to take down confederate statues. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal (R) feels "this will be a symbol that the state of Georgia is in the business of erecting monuments to deserving individuals rather than focusing its attention on taking down monuments of the past."

Books, Complex, and Confused: "The ego isn't wrong; it's just unconscious. When you observe the ego in yourself, you are beginning to go beyond it. Don't take the ego too seriously. When you detect egoic behavior in yourself, smile. At times you may even laugh. How could humanity have been taken in by this for so long? Above all, know that the ego isn't personal. It isn't who you are. If you consider the ego to be your personal problem, that's just more ego." ECKHART TOLLE Via @conscious_collective - "So what is it that we mean by the word “I”? Well, obviously “I” is simply our symbol of ourselves—a symbol that represents the entire organism of the universe as it is centered on our individual consciousness—and the symbol is not the real thing. Our entire culture has become so psychologically obsessed with the world of symbols, of social conventions, of mental divisions and measurements, that we are no longer in touch with the whole of nature—a whole that is so vast, complex, and interconnected that it couldn’t possibly be confined to the social conventions of language and symbols. Because of our confusion of the true nature of reality with reality as it is conceptualized or measured, we have attached our identity to the ego, something that has no basis in physical reality. The ego is essentially a large collection of thoughts, all connected to one singular thought at the center that we call “I” or “me.” When we are confused with the world of measurement, confused with the world of illusion or maya, we carry within us this “I” thought that we think we are, and we have many different concepts about ourselves and the way we relate to reality that we attach to this thought. The problem with this is that the “I” thought is really an illusion, and so we feel that we have to constantly protect, defend, and advocate for this illusory identity. So we come up with a wide range of different beliefs, concepts, ideas, and opinions, that are mixed in with our conditioning, our traumas, and our various neuroses, in order to protect and steward this illusory thought that we call “I.”" ~A quote from my book "The Answer Is YOU: A Guide to Mental, Emotional, & Spiritual Freedom" • TheAnswersIsYOU Awareness Ego Illusion Truth Love Oneness Awakespiritual

Alive, Clothes, and Energy: Ever wonder why a drawing of a heart doesn't look like an actual human heart? The heart symbol we use today came from the idea of two human hearts being fused together as one, forming the iconic heart-shaped symbol we know as LOVE. Why are you always sad? You have money, not much but enough. You have food, whatever you want to eat. You live in a house, it's small but it's yours. You have clothes, so what if they aren't designer. You lost a loved one, we all did, but they wouldn't like to see you unhappy, the energy from their soul is still there, they live on in your heart. You are scared of death... Why? When it happens it happens, concern yourself with loving and living. Don't die having never lived. You don't get on well yyyftytwith your family... You will eventually, or you won't but your friends are the family you get to choose. You are trying to become more spiritual, but aren't sure where to start... Cleanse your body and mind of negative energy, meditation will help, so will eating healthy foods, stop taking poisons. A poisonous body is a poisonous mind. If you are single you are single for a reason, just as when you get into a relationship you will have your reasons. Remember your happiness starts with you. Not with your relationship. Not with your friends. Not with your job. But with you. Things outside of you won't fix things on the inside You are loved, by others but not by yourself, start by loving yourself and be happy, because you are alive when many others died for the opportunity to live... chakabars
