Batman, Movies, and Regret: Dearest associates and colleagues,
In this tumultuous world, we often find ourselves upon mora
and philosophical crossroads with ourselves, and with one
another. With so many different backgrounds and environmental
catalysts urging us to one opinion or another, it is only natural
that we as mortals must sometimes be wounded in the crosstire
It is my regret to inform you all, that I myself was caught in this
crossfire recently. The question that served to be my downfall,
was a question steeped in philosophical and moral dilemma and
nuance. I argued vehemently for a side which, at the time,
seemed so right.
However, after much serious reflection and the gathering of
additional information, I realize that I was incorrect in my
position. The question, of course, being whether Christian Bale
or Ben Affleck played the character of Batman more admirably
My reflections caused me to watch two movies. First was the
Justice League movie. I humbly opine that this was one of the
most poorly written movies I have ever seen. This, of course,
caused confusion in my heart and lead me to re-watching "The
Dark Night" before long, the opinion that Christian Bale really
is the better Batman had settled into my soul. Though Ben
Affleck looks more the part, and Christian Bale certainly does
have an annoying lisp, the overall performance of the role
belongs firmly to Christian Bale. He simply conveys the spirit of
Batman in a more believable light.
I hope my actions and opinions did not cause any undue harm to
you, my dearest colleagues, and ask whole heartedly for your
forgiveness and understanding in this trying time. It is only
through the constant examination of our beliefs that truth may
