Animals, Children, and Food: British Farmer's Son @theveganleo youtube: ME. King Shocks Vegan World Part 1 We're living in a nation Where there's growing condemnation Of what is done to those who cannot talk I was blind to all their pain so I couldn't feel the shame In that broken piece of body on my fork Then I wondered, could any child breed a bird that can't be wild? To eat its wings, take off its legs and its head? No. So we pay for hidden slaughter till we've addicted sons and daughters To our habit of eating the dead And it's not so very long, since who could see the wrong In breeding humans as slaves without pay It could be a woman without a vote Or killing a leopard for its coat Did we ever see the evil of the day? So do you think you're any better Now the animals we fetter, outnumber every human ten to one And many children hardly eat Because their food has fed your meat While the blame for this shame, you pass on So give me avocados And I'll eat tofu burgers You can even give me black bean curd But please don't give me bread If it's wrapping the dead The remains of the body of a bird For every piece of flesh you buy You're paying to breed the next to die By compassion, no longer are we led And for the cow, it's worse, I fear They rod, rape her every year Take every calf, take all her milk Until she's dead This choice you say is your right That you can eat just as you like And it's merely an opinion that I voice But your choice, it kills so many This opinion kills not any And your victims, you give them any choice? So there's more to avocados And eating tofu burgers Than minimizing sickness and your girth No less than Einstein did resolve From eating flesh we must evolve Or mankind, he said, may not survive on earth The age in which we are living is ever more misgiving over what is done to those who cannot talk Are you blind to all their pain Can you not feel the shame In that broken piece of body on your fork?ο»Ώ @theveganleo standup911

A very inspiring Story: must read BEAUTIFUL STORY MUST READ @islamleveryone A Man Named Rashed This is a true story about a man named Rashed. He tells his story as follows… I was not more than thirty years old when my wife gave birth to my first child. I still remember that night. I had stayed out all night long with my friends, as was my habit. It was a night filled with useless talk, and worse, with backbiting, gossiping, and making fun of people. I was mostly the one who made people laugh; I would mock others and my friends would laugh and laugh. I remember on that night that I’d made them laugh a lot. I had an amazing ability to imitate others – I could change the sound of my voice until I sounded exactly like the person I was mocking. No one was safe from my biting mockery, even my friends; some people started avoiding me just to be safe from my tongue. I remember on that night, I had made fun of a blind man who I’d seen begging in the market. What was worse, I had put my foot out in front him – he tripped and fell, and started turning his head around, not knowing what to say. I went back to my house, late as usual, and I found my wife waiting for me. She was in a terrible state, and said in a quivering voice, β€œRashed… where were you?” β€œWhere would I be, on Mars?” I said sarcastically, β€œWith my friends of course.” She was visibly exhausted, and holding back tears, she said, β€œRashed, I’m so tired. It seems the baby is going to come soon.” A silent tear fell on her cheek. I felt that I had neglected my wife. I should have taken care of her and not stayed out so much all those nights… especially since she was in her ninth month. I quickly took her to the hospital; she went into the delivery room, and suffered through long hours of pain. I waited patiently for her to give birth… but her delivery was difficult, and I waited a long time until I got tired. So I went home and left my phone number with the hospital so they could call with the good news. An hour later, they called me to congratulate me on the birth of Salem. I went to the hospital immediately. As soon as they saw me, they asked me to go see the doctor who had overlooked my wife’s delivery. β€œWhat doctor?” I cried out, β€œI just want to see my son Salem!” Continues πŸ‘‡

Fall, Life, and Memes: DON'T UNDERVALUE YOUR VALUE SUCCESSUIARIES I've learned a lot of people won't value your true value. Most people are takers and want everything for free. It's easy to fall victim to this and I have many times in the past. β€’ Here are some tips to stopping the habit of undervaluing your value: β€’ 1. Stop doing everything for free. If you want to get paid, you have to start charging people. Don't get me wrong, doing things for free when your first starting out or networking is a great way to get further in life. But decipher between who wants to collaborate and who just wants to take advantage of you. β€’ 2. Don't say yes to everything. Your time is the most valuable thing you have. Be selective with it. If you don't, people will think it has no value to you and will abuse it. This leads me into my next tip. β€’ 3. Don't always be reachable. Once you always answer every phone call, text, or email immediately it sets an expectation. I'm not talking about customer service here. I'm talking about in your personal and business dealings. If you are always answering the second someone calls on you, this expectation will be expected all the time. The second you try to put your priorities in front of theirs, they will think you're doing them a disservice. β€’ You biggest asset is you and your time. Don't let anyone take advantage of either. Even if it means walking away from an opportunity. successdiaries

Life, Memes, and Common: HOLD ON TO YOUR SALAH BECAUSE IF YOU LOSE THAT YOU LOSE EVERYTHING GARDENOFTHEPIOUS A common habit among many Muslims today is to abandon salah, especially the dawn and evening prayers. This poisonous habit of abandoning prayers, whether due to laziness or deliberate negligence, will cause many people to enter the hellfire on the Day of Judgement. - When a person starts neglecting the prayers, other negative effects follow, such as failing to perform good deeds and regularly falling into sinful acts. Such people deny the final day and continue with their defiance until death overtakes them, but by then it will be too late to repent and to be forgiven for their disobedience. - To neglect salah, is to be de-linked from Allah and deprived of His mercy, for it is a remedy for all the diseases of the heart and for what corrupts the soul. How can we hope to patiently fight against injustice and oppression, if we can barely stand up for any of our five prayers. It is no wonder then that the Ummah today lags behind in almost all areas of life, and is constantly humiliated. - β€œ...and establish regular prayer, for prayer restrains from shameful and unjust deeds, and remembrance of Allah is the greatest thing in life without a doubt. And Allah knows the deeds you do.” (Quran, 29:45) - May Allah make the five daily prayers the coolness of our eyes and a source of salvation in the Hereafter, Ameen. - @gardenofthepious

Anaconda, Bad, and Friends: Lifting to Failure Good or Bad? One muscle fiber (cell) One fascicle (bundle of muscle fibers) Connective tissue Muscle Myofibril Blood vessels and nerves Tendon @strengthcoachtherapy strengtt Myofibrils Striations Nucleus A review of literature and best practice SHOULD YOU LIFT TO FAILURE? - πŸš€ The answer: It depends! Usually no, but maybe sometimes yes. @strengthcoachtherapy explains below, and I agree with every word. . πŸ€” Lifting to failure is 100% not necessary for gainz and progress. If done too much, it can even hinder progress. For many novice lifters, going to failure is overused and overrated. Sorry bro, but you don't need to scour the gym looking for a spot for every bench press set. Just lift. . ❌ For compound lifts, missing reps can be downright dangerous (squat, bench, deadlift). This is when training injuries happen. Going to failure is much safer when you are performing single joint exercises. Examples include hamstring curls, machine work, lateral raises, arms, etc. These are low risk movements and failing can be helpful to tax smaller muscle groups. . βœ… Failing reps and pushing it to the limit can be be helpful for hypertrophy work and creating maximal oxidative stress. It's also sometimes necessary for power and oly lifters to truly find and push their max. Overall, it is still more advised for bodybuilding techniques. Failing should also be used less frequently as you get stronger and closer to your genetic potential. . πŸ€“ Smart training is all about weighing cost versus benefit. Even if you can get away with failing now, it has the potential to cause problems down the road. (Looking at you, young lifters). Furthermore, lifting to your 1 rep maximum on a weekly basis is not a wise way to structure your training. Try a reps day, a light day, and a heavy day, instead of putting all 3 into everyday. . πŸ™…πŸ½β€β™‚οΈ Lifelong gains are made by maximizing reward and minimizing risk. It's a marathon, not a sprint. Don't make missing reps a habit, the benefit is minimal if any at all. Trust me my friends, you can still train hard and reach your goals by finishing your lifts. . Africa, Books, and Children: There's no better way to inform and expand your mind on a regular basis than to get into the habit of reading good literature. SOULAR SOULIA MENT I spend half of the time bettering myself and the rest of the time teaching others :) People ask me everyday what books I read, as I won't debate with people on racism, or holistic nutrition, if they have read no books on the subject and just have opinions via the news and their poor education of the dichotomy. It's always the poorly educated and those who feel the most subconscious guilt who are the most in denial, but guilt helps nobody, you didn't create racism, yet some do benefit from it today.
