It has a diverse market of companies, as opposed to a true communist country which would only have one. China has state owned companies, sure, but still allow non-Chinese companies thrive. Not communist. Mao tried to be communist, but his general stupidity, hatred of intellectuals, and lick spittle oligarchs let him ruin everything. Communism is not immune to idiots. Say what you will about Cuba, but literal slavery was legal there until the revolution, workers saw their pay increase, and wealth inequality was dealt with. Now in Cuba, people have homes, healthcare, education and food. If al of this ] because of the suffering of the upperclass, sign me up. If we're going off of body counts, the millions dead due to "Communism" is nothing21 compared to the hundreds of millions dead due to Capitalism. Venezuela's problem was because of an over reliance on oil. Their "Socialist" programs really aren't uncommon in Europe and such. Besides, they aren't communist. They were a huge economic power relying on foreign companies. I'm not a Marxist, though.
