That will reduce a massive part of his health bar. For me, to be quite honest... the stupid Secret Mission 4 in DMC1. Those Shadows can pull off some stupid tight combos and reduce you to paste before you even have a chance at popping a V-Star. If you stopped relying on using items, maybe you'd realize it's a very simple task to deal with 3 Shadows. You can pop a single handgun shot to lure one out towards you, then DT and pump lead into it and destroy that core with 2-3 DT Stingers. Repeat for each Shadow for easy win. Items are a part of the game, they're there to be used I could've also given that tidbit of obvious information to anyone who stopped using items in these games over 17 years ago with even more obvious condescension. This is DMC1. From 2001. Killing Shadows is incredibly simple to do. Beating the game [on Normal] without items is common knowledge To be perfectly fair though, I'm not a flawless gamer, far from it. If I'm playing through the entire game and not just sticking to a handful of areas to play for fun and record gameplay, eventually I will use an item, but only in specific situations and/or DMD and only if I'm not attempting a perfect S rank. I will admit that l've played DMC3 and 4 for just general gameplay for so many years that if I were to attempt such a run right now I'd need a ton of practice to get my skill back up However, for the most part, I still refuse to use items and recently I only ended up using them at the absolute worst parts of DMC2 and 3, namely Argosax (could've been pretty much any boss in the game that's unsafe to fight with melee combat) in 2 and Arkham in 3; the obvious reason for this is simply due to how putrid these bosses are Yes, you're right. The items are there to be used. But if you've been playing these games since they came out, you should know better, especially if we're talking about killing enemies and beating the game in a general sense without worrying about ranks. I mean, JUST to defeat Mundus on Normal, do you really need an Untouchable to do that? I'm gonna put my money where my mouth is and just show it to you. Just recently I did a full LP and without even trying I beat him without items. I took a ton of damage, did a million mistakes and was still nowhere near death. This is TERRIBLE gameplay and yet more than enough to beat the game without using items a single time. 2:28:15 on the timeline YouTubeTM Vide Views: 122 'm soing boring omg why would you watch this In anticination of the Before this, I hadn't played the game to the end in.. let's be generous, like 2, maybe 3 years.
