 You can't tell how old a kid is just by looking. I've known multiple 5th
 graders who were taller than I am, and I'm 25 years old. With their faces
 hidden by masks, you won't be able to tell they're elementary schoolers,
 but they still are.
 Lots of older siblings are expected to take their younger siblings trick-or-
 treating, and they only get paid in candy.
 You don't know if that teenager is developmentally disabled.
 You don't know if that teenager spent most of their childhood in a
 hospital or sick and has never had the traditional trick-or-treat experience
 before
 You don't know if this is that teenager's first Halloween in America, and
 they just want to experience a piece of American culture.
 You don't know if that teenager ever gets candy any other day of the
 year.
 You don't know if that teenager has eaten anything at all today
 And those are just things I can think of off the top of my head

Good afternoon Gothamites and have a fantastic Friday! On this day (June 16) in Batman history, two live action Batman films had its world premiered and debuted in theaters in the U.S.! The first is the 1992 film "Batman Returns" which premiered 25 years ago at the @chinesetheatres in Hollywood (it hit U.S. theaters June 19)! The commercial success of Tim Burton's 1989 film 'Batman' spawned a sequel live action movie in 1992. Michael Keaton's Bruce Wayne - Batman reprises his role in "Batman Returns", going up against the corrupt business tycoon Max Shreck (Christopher Walken) who joins Oswald Cobblepot aka The Penguin (Danny DeVito) in order to take over Gotham City and defeat the Batman. But when Shreck's ex-assistant Selina Kyle (Michelle Pfeiffer) transforms into the seductive Catwoman, Batman has to also combat his romantic feelings for the femme fatale. Known for its dramatics from the set design to the costumes, "Batman Returns" was darker than its predecessor, the gothic tone courtesy of Batman co-creator Bob Kane as creative consultant, calling back to his character's origin from 1939. Tim Burton's 1992 sequel film "Batman Returns" was a blockbuster success. However, due to the dark tones of the film, it was not accepted by parents of young children and some sponsorship was turned down in terms of toys and merchandising. *Sigh* another testimony, this time from a 25 year old guy, who was set up on a blind date by his cousin at 21. He'd never met the girl before and he says as soon as he saw her, he knew she was the one. He explained, he had 2 long term girlfriends before her and he'd never felt that way before. Asked if she was the hottest woman he'd ever seen, he said "no I still see hot women now" "there was just something about her" but what? He said "the first thing that caught my eye was her smile" anyway his cousin didn't allow him to take her number after the first date as she was only 18. By the next day, he decided to search for her name on Facebook, when he found her, he messaged her and persuaded her to give him her number. On that second date ladies he told her in HIS own words "you know I'm going to marry you right?" Of course she she didn't believe him until he proposed a year later! After 4 years of being married, he says "she is the love of my life". The running theme in these testimonies is men are the ones that bring up marriage first and it's women who are sceptical. Racist Couple Cries In Court After Being Sentenced To 13 Years For Waving Guns At Black Child’s Birthday Party - blogged by: @eleven8 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ A Georgia court got it right when they sentenced 26-year-old Jose Ismael Torres and 25-year-old Kayla Rae Norton to some hard time for waving guns and terrorizing 8 year old black children. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The incident occurred July 2015 in Douglasville, GA. Torres and Norton, as part of a larger group called ‘Respect the Flag,’ pulled up to the birthday party of an 8 year old black child with a convoy of at least 7 pickup trucks, waving confederate flags. As they drove by, the convoy hurled racial slurs and threats at partygoers. At one point Torres pulled out a shotgun and pointed it at the child’s family. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In court Monday, a judge decided to sentence Torres and Norton to a year greater than what the state was seeking. Norton was sentenced to 6 years on one count of violating Georgia’s street gang act and one count of making terroristic threats. Torres was sentenced to 13 years for three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, one count of terroristic threats and one count of violating the street gang act. The couple cried hysterically in court as their sentences were being read. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “The worst decision I’ve ever made in my life was to not walk away when I had the chance,” Norton said. “That is not me. That is not me. That is not him. Now that suspect has been found dead. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Jovana was killed on the morning of August 30, during her shift at Walgreen’s, when a man entered the store and fatally stabbed her. At the time, 25-year-old Tavon Jackson, Jovana’s ex and the father of her 2-year-old daughter, was the prime suspect. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ According to The Tallahassee Democrat, the body of TavonJackson was found in a wooded area in Tallahassee on Tuesday night. Police say that the body was found during an unrelated investigation near the original crime scene.
